Unique recycled toys!

Kaylee is lately obsessed with DVD cases LOL She takes the discs out, lays them next to her, then proceeds to take out the cover art. We’re lucky she hasn’t ruined any discs!

We tried to think of an alternative, tried to distract her with CD cases, no luck. Then I remembered Lisa at the LB Depot For Creative Reuse had DVD cases! So I stopped by today and bought two for her. I got home, gave them to Kaylee, and she was in HEAVEN! Toddler playtime heaven!

When you’re a mom of 3, you gotta get creative čÖé

Chinatown, Creative Reuse, and Inspirational!

Yesterday, Ryan, the kids, and I took a trip out to Chinatown. I love that place! I can always find goodies there. And yesterday was no exception. Not only did Ryan buy me a new bamboo (yay!), but he also bought me plenty of Green Food for my 3 bamboos LOL I found new red envelopes both large and small, and lots of ephemera.

Today I went to the Long Beach Depot For Creative Reuse and found lots of goodies again! Fabric angel wall hanging, beads, Garden Fairy rubber stamp, journaling block rubber stamp, bridal wedding wood stickers, cardboard oval stencils, & 2 plastic storage boxes to keep all . I also found TONS of stickers!

Gotta love hole in the wall and creative reuse stores čÖé

Some of these will be up on my etsy store tomorrow!

One man’s trash is many people’s treasure!

As you seen from many of my past posts, I absolutely love thrift stores, secondhhand stores, creative reuse shops, garage sales, etc. I go to at least two per week! I went to Goodwill this past Monday, & found some amazing goodies yet again!

Aren’t the Minnie Mouse Chinese envelopes adorable?! I already posted them on my etsy store. Too cute!

Friday recap

I had a fantabulous but busy weekend! Friday, lots & lots of weddings. All of them beautiful, of course. I got to witness 2 Filipino weddings. Mom & Nana went to the Home Show bc they had a King Tut exhibit. But Access forgot them! Mom was PISSED! Seriously, Access is SO not worth the trouble. So I ended up having to pick them up. Luckily they were right next to my work LOL Alan asked me to come back & shoot the Filipino wedding that night. So I picked Mom & Nana up, dropped off my display at the Depot (see next post LOL), picked up Michael, got dinner for everyone, then went back to shoot the wedding! It was so sweet & beautiful. It was a total family affair. Four flower girls, a ringbearer, veil/lasso/coin sponsors, even a newborn in attendance! They were also broadcasting online, so at the end we all turned & waved to the webcam. Too cute!
