CHOC Walk 2010

CHOC Walk In The Park @ Disneyland will be the first big Mikk’s Kid Krusaders event, so this is DEFINITELY a big deal. I participated in CHOC Walk a number of years ago, and I had the BEST time. I cannot explain how much fun it was! This is also an emotional event for me. Cameron, the angel who inspires me to volunteer, has been treated many times at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. So this event will be extra special event for my family.

Last time I walked, I raised $350. I plan to BLOW THAT OUT OF THE WATER! My personal goal is $550. If I raise that amount, I get 2 Disneyland Park Hopper tickets… So I’m GIVING THOSE AWAY! What else will I be giving away? Items from Build A Bear, House Of Blues, World Of Disney, and many more! I’ll draw a name from anyone who donates $25 or more to my goal. The countdown has begun!

JUST ADDED! In addition to the Disneyland tickets, I’ll be giving away this rare Downtown Disney Build A Bear!

Here’s a picture from the last CHOC Walk I participated in:

About CHOC Walk: “Join us at the Disneyland® Resort on October 17th as we celebrate the 20th Annual CHOC Walk. Last year, over 14,000 participants raised $1.6 million helping to support the care, services, education and research that CHOC provides for Orange County children. This year, we hope to top that as we celebrate 20 years of community support for CHOC Children’s. Your dollars help to assure that Orange County and the surrounding communities have access to world class health care for children. No child is ever turned away. Upon arriving at the Disneyland® Resort, you realize this is more than a visit to Disneyland®. It’s a tribute to the continuous support from our community. It’s a time for families to thank the doctors and nurses that cared for their children, and share their stories with other families. As you walk through Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure® Park, you’ll be joined by your favorite Disney® friends – cheering you on and providing unique photo opportunities. You have the opportunity to see the parks as you may have never seen them before! At the end of the 5k Walk, the celebration continues in Downtown Disney® District where event sponsors, hospital support groups, shops and restaurants have special offers for all Walk participants. This year, the number one fundraiser will win a trip for four to the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta Georgia on New Years*! This special experience is brought to you by our friends at Chick-fil-A and includes airfare, hotel, tickets to the game and activities. Join us October 17th to support CHOC Children’s and see first hand how to Make Every Step Count for Kids.”
